In general, no. A referral is not required to begin therapy, though some insurance plans may require one for coverage. Please check with your insurance carrier prior to receiving services.
Yes. We offer both in-person appointments at our Milford and Brighton office locations, and secure telehealth sessions for anyone residing in the State of Michigan.
We accept many major insurance plans including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Care Network, Cofinity, First Health Network, HAP, McLaren, Meridian, Molina, Priority Health and United Healthcare. We also work with some employee assistance programs (EAP's). Please check with your insurance carrier to see if we are in network, or use our contact form to see if we are in network with your insurance carrier.

We offer private-pay options and can provide a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
If using insurance, cost would depend on insurance coverage, and any applicable deductibles, co-insurance, or co-pays. If you are paying for services without using insurance, costs can vary by provider and services rendered. Costs are typically anywhere between $130-$225 per session. Our practicum students offer lower fee sessions at $30 per session.

Our therapists use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, humanistic therapy, and trauma-informed care.

We require at least 24-hour notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee.
Standard sessions are typically 50–55 minutes. Extended sessions may be available depending on clinical needs.
Yes. All services are confidential in accordance with HIPAA and Michigan law, with limited legal and safety-related exceptions that your therapist will review with you.
Most clients start with weekly sessions. Frequency may change based on goals and progress.
Telehealth sessions are conducted through our secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform accessible from your phone, tablet, or computer. You may have to download a HIPAA-compliant app, depending on the device you are using.
Your comfort is important. We welcome feedback and can help transition you to another provider if needed.
We do not prescribe medication, but we can collaborate with your primary care provider or psychiatrist if medication support is part of your care plan. We also have a few providers for any referrals if needed. We recommend discussing medications with your therapist to see if this would be clinically appropriate to add to your care plan.
